A full-auto assault rifle that can fit in any player's arsenal, the reincarnation of the fan favorite Galil manages to live up to the hype.
The Galil was perhaps one of the most beloved guns from the early days of Black Ops. It seamlessly blended everything a player could ever want in a gun into a single package as a rifle that was stronger than most fast rifles, but faster than most strong rifles. The CR-56 AMAX may be a reimagining of it, but it maintains much of the same functionality overall as a mid-range monster that can place rounds as well as it shoots them quick.
- Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel – XRK Zodiac S440
- Optic – G.I. Mini Reflex or PBX Holo 7 Sight or VLK 3.0x Optic
- Underbarrel – Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition – 45 Round Mags
The Monolithic Suppressor increases effective range while simultaneously acting as a silencer. The XRK Zodiac S440 barrel attachment is useful as it boosts all of damage, bullet velocity, and recoil control, three of the most important metrics to gun efficiency. As always, scopes are a matter of comfort, and whichever one of the three recommended ones a player prefers is just as objectively qualified as the other two. The Commando Foregrip also serves to assist reload speed and recoil control, while the 45 Round Mags lighten movement patterns.
Damage: Per shot, the damage of the CR-56 AMAX is formidable. Each bullet packs a relatively large punch for a round coming from an assault rifle.
Recoil: The recoil pattern for the CR-56 AMAX is simple to master and manageable upon first encounter.
Magazine: Unfortunately, 45 round mags are definitely lacking in terms of volume compared to other assault rifles.
Low Fire Rate: The CR-56 AMAX is not a gun to “spray and pray” with, as the rounds are not rapid quite like an SMG or more compact assault rifle.
